The Responsibility of Leadership
At this point, this can no longer be explained as ignorance. Those who lead have the Scriptures.
They teach them.
They study them.
And what the New Testament describes is not hidden. Jesus is the Head. The body is meant to function together. The “one another” commands require real, shared life.
This is clear.
Which means this is a matter of responsibility.
Not intention.
Responsibility.
Leaders face a choice:
Continue maintaining a system that cannot produce what Jesus commanded— or acknowledge it and submit to what God has already shown. And the reason this continues is not difficult to see. There is too much at stake.
Income.
Position.
Identity.
Reputation.
Control.
And the cost of stepping away feels too high. So the system is preserved.
Explained. Defended. Refined.
But not corrected. When clarity is ignored to preserve comfort, that is not oversight. That is a decision.
